Delete Your UniConfess Account & Data

At UniConfess, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your account and personal data. In compliance with Google Play User Data policies, this page explains how you can permanently delete your UniConfess account and wipe all associated data, either directly from the mobile app or via an email request.
📱 Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The quickest way to delete your account and erase all associated data is directly inside the UniConfess mobile app:

If you have uninstalled the application or cannot access your device, you can submit a manual deletion request to our administrative team:

Subject Line: UniConfess Account Deletion Request
Please include any identifiable information (such as your Account UID, student email if linked, or post URLs) so we can locate and purge your records.
Processing Timeframe: Manual deletion requests received via email are processed within 7 business days. Once deleted, you will receive a confirmation response.
What Data is Deleted Upon Request?
When your account deletion is confirmed, the following data is permanently purged from our active systems and storage:
- Account Identifier & Credentials: Unique Account UID, session tokens, and local authentication caches.
- User-Generated Content: All confessions, comments, replies, and community discussion threads created by your account.
- Media Uploads: Image and video attachments stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage associated with your posts.
- Interactions & Activity: Upvotes, reactions, poll votes, bookmarks, saved posts, and campus community subscriptions.
- Notification Records: Device push notification tokens and in-app activity notifications.
Data Retention & Security Exclusions
To prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and ensure platform security:
- Security & Rate Limiting Logs: Temporary server telemetry logs (such as IP addresses and connection timestamps) are retained for up to 90 days solely for DDoS mitigation, cybersecurity forensics, and anti-abuse auditing before being permanently purged.
- No Data Brokerage: UniConfess never sells, leases, or trades user data. Once an account is deleted, no marketing or profiling data remains.
